Splash Bash at the Dell JCC
Splash Bash is the Dell JCC’s annual pool party for all members and their friends and families to enjoy! The event features many aquatic activities as well as food, giveaways and much more. This event is one of the Dell JCC’s Member Appreciation Events and aims to give back to members in a fun and engaging way.
Objective
To scale the event larger and increase the amount of participants as well as increase engagement and feedback.
This event takes place in the summer, normally during Memorial Day Weekend. I planned regularly scheduled meetings with the necessary teams in advance to give us ample time to plan. In these meetings, we identify things such as: Roles and responsibilities, day of event details (date, time, locations etc), Marketing Needs and more. These meetings are set monthly starting in Q1 and shift to bi-weekly in Q2 to ensure we’re on target for a successful event! Example agendas for both 2024 and 2025 events are linked here.
PRE-EVENT
Below is the header graphic created to promote the event to members. We use imagery from the previous event, a unique text treatment and the necessary details for our graphics. The aquatics team sent over some video clips to be created into a reel for social media promotion. Check out the reel here!
Day of Event
The Marketing Team is all hands on deck during the day of the event for Splash Bash. I gave each of my team members a responsibility which included things like capturing video content, assisting the aquatics team or pre event set up. I was tasked with photography! Below are some of what I captured.
Post Event
Once the event has concluded, and after a short rest of course, we meet to do a post event debrief. A survey is sent out a few days after the event to capture members thoughts and we review the responses in our debrief meeting. We identify not only how we want to improve but celebrate the successes as well! In 2025, we increased the number of participants and had a very positive overall feedback from our survey.
